About the pattern
Newbie Socks are worked top down, with double rib at the cuff and stockinette stitch on the foot. Eyelets for an i-cord drawstring are worked on the cuff to help keep the socks securely in place. The heel is shaped using German Short Rows. The socks are designed to keep the tiniest toes warm, with a good fit that is not too bulky and doesn’t slip off easily. I recommend knitting them in a fine, untreated merino wool, as this is the softest option and helps the baby regulate temperature.
