About the pattern
Mathilda Lace Bonnet is a delicate bonnet with a lace texture and a crocheted lace edging. The bonnet is worked flat in the texture pattern, and the pattern includes a separate chart for each size. The decreases are worked along the sides of the back of the head, allowing the texture pattern to continue uninterrupted throughout the bonnet. Stitches are then picked up for the neck edging, which is bound off while the i-cord ties are worked at the same time. Finally, a simple crocheted lace edging is worked around the face opening. I’m a crochet beginner myself, so I’ve tried to write the instructions as clearly and simply as possible, without abbreviations and with helpful video tutorials, so that everyone can make it <3
Please note that the yarn quantities listed above are based on Based Design Tynn Ren Merino. We all knit a little differently, so the exact yarn usage may vary. We recommend having a few extra grams available, just in case. Feel free to send me a message if you need help calculating the yarn requirements for a different yarn.
